About the event

 Description: An 8-hour course that prepares the management level responder to serve as a member of an incident management team during a civil action or disorder.  The course provides instruction on incident management, incorporating planning considerations and other responsibilities of management-level responders during such an event. The course also provides responders with the ability to develop a local Incident Action Plan (IAP) for civil action or disorder and implement response actions from the management level.

Prerequisites: It is recommended that candidates have successfully completed awareness training for CBRNE response through Standardized Awareness Authorized Training Program (AW-160) or another certified awareness training program; ICS (IS) 100: Introduction to the Incident Command System; ICS (IS) 200: ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents; ICS 300: Intermediate IC; and IS-700: National Incident Management System (NIMS): Introduction.

Class Size: 20 Students minimum 50 maximum. 

Material/Equipment: Each student is required to bring note taking material. (pen and legal pad)
